NEW LOOK, SAME MISSION - HIPPY FEET GETS A BRAND REFRESH
Hippy Feet turns 5 this September! Like any 5 year old, we’ve undergone an incredible amount of change and evolution over the past couple of years. Whether you’ve been along for the ride with us this entire time or have just recently found out about our brand, you’re about to see a new Hippy Feet than the one you first encountered.
We believe that the world needs Hippy Feet because of the difference we make for young people affected by homelessness. That part isn’t changing. Neither is our commitment to making our products in the USA using environmentally friendly materials whenever possible. However, we are going to be looking a little bit different.
Hippy Feet has made great products over the past 5 years, and we never want you to sacrifice quality or style just because we do a good thing. Our mission is staying the same, and now our brand is growing into something we can all be excited about.
We hope you enjoy this behind the scenes look at how our brand has changed over the years!
The Beginning - 2016-2018
When we first launched Hippy Feet, we were 22 years old and had an idea that we thought could make the world a better place. We didn’t have much experience, so we just made things we thought were cool and hoped other people would like them.
Our logo was a digital version of one Michael drew, and beyond that we didn’t really have much identity as a brand. We went to art fairs, farmers markets, breweries, and really any other place that would let us talk to potential customers and try to sell our socks.
Growing Up - 2018-2021
This experience of talking to thousands of people proved invaluable. It turns out, some of them valued the same things we did. We realized the main 3 reasons people supported us. Our products were: American made, eco-friendly, and helped homeless youth.
People actually liked some of that “cool” stuff we were making. We figured, if we can show our company to more people, we can make an even bigger impact. Before we did that, we needed to start acting like the brand that we wanted to become. We worked with a talented graphic designer to update our logo and identify consistent fonts and colors for our brand. My oh my, were we proud of it.
2021 & Onward
Today, we’re proud to announce our newest development as a brand! We’re getting in touch with our hippie-roots and borrowing some of the best design elements that the 1970s have to offer. Our new brand preserves everything that was working before and adds quirky fonts, groovy patterns, and expressive colors that allow us to put a creative foot forward.
Hippy Feet is about so much more than a pair of socks. It’s about coming together behind something bigger — a mission to help the people who need it most. It’s about community and connection. We hope our new brand serves as a tool for us to share the amazing work that we can accomplish when we come together.
