How We Give
Hippy Feet is a Minneapolis-based Benefit Corporation dedicated to supporting the homeless. Using a portion of all proceeds, we provide transitional employment to homeless youth through our Pop-Up Employment Program. All of Hippy Feet's packaging, embroidery, and screen printing is done by homeless youth - providing opportunity, job training, and giving in a way that respects human dignity. Our goal is to get young people into stable housing and transitioned into full-time employment elsewhere.
We are committed to making all of our products in the USA using environmentally friendly materials.
As of March 2019, we have been able to provide jobs to more than 60 young people affected by homelessness. This adds up to over 900 hours of employment - providing young people in Minneapolis and Chicago the chance to earn a transitional wage and basic job training. In some cases, this has led to full time employment and permanent housing for our program participants.
Later this year, we will be highlighting the stories of young people whose lives were improved through their involvement with Hippy Feet. By following us on Facebook and Instagram, you'll know when these stories are released.
Thank you for your support and making the such an incredible impact possible.
