The Boundary Waters Bundle
THIS IS A PRE-SALE ITEM:
Sweaters will begin to ship after December 10th.
Included among the many reasons to visit the Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota is the opportunity to pursue the elusive Brook and Lake Trout, the only 2 native trout species in Minnesota. Now, if you're talking to any fly fisherman elitist, they will proudly tell you that Minnesota does not have any native trout species and that a Brook or Lake Trout is in fact a salmonoid, or a Char, and not a trout. The elites are correct.
Show your love for arguably the most beautiful fishies found in fresh water -and one of the most abundant species in the Boundary Waters- with this cozy sweater. The design is an homage to our Boundary Waters with a scene of a starry night overlooking some dusty olive colored evergreen trees along the bottom of the base and sleeves. On the front, you will find a large, warm and colorful Brook Trout in the sky. The backside features the stunning Lake trout in all of its cool and vibrant glory. Included in this set, is the Merino Wool Native Brook Trout Hiking Crews. Enjoy these matching socks on a forest green base, with a Brook trout (char) laying vertically anlong the ankle, and all gorgeous the reds, greens, golds, and white colors of Minnesota's native Trout (char).
The Brook Trout, otherwise known as the Salvelinus Fontinalis, which translates to "little salmon, living in springs" is a personal favorite species of our Founder. He may or may not have this colorful fish tattooed on his arm and as the screensaver on his phone. Obsessed much, Michael?
