Custom Socks in Bulk: How Ordering Actually Works

Custom Socks in Bulk: How Ordering Actually Works

Ordering custom socks in bulk sounds complicated. It isn't. You send a logo, we send a mockup, you say yes, and a few weeks later a box of socks with your brand knit right in shows up at your door.

That's the short version. Here's the longer one, so you know exactly what to expect before you request a quote.

Step 1: Send us your idea (and your logo)

Every order starts with a conversation. Tell us who the socks are for, how many people you're outfitting, and when you need them in hand.

Then send your logo. Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF) work best because they stay crisp at any size. A high-res PNG works too. A blurry screenshot from 2014? We'll talk.

Not sure what you want yet? That's normal. Plenty of our clients start with "something fun with our logo" and we take it from there.

Step 2: We design a mockup

Our design team turns your idea into a flat sock mockup. You'll see your colors, your logo placement, and the overall pattern before anything gets knit.

Want the logo on the cuff instead of the ankle? Different stripe colors? A tiny taco on the toe? Ask. Revisions are part of the process, and this is the best time to make changes.

Step 3: Knit vs. printed: why it matters

This is the part most people don't think about until their socks show up looking sad.

Many bulk custom socks are printed. Ink sits on top of the fabric. It looks great on day one, then it stretches, cracks, and fades in the wash.

Our custom socks are knit. The design is built into the sock, yarn by yarn, on a knitting machine. Nothing to peel, crack, or fade. Your logo looks as good on wear 50 as it did on wear one.

The tradeoff: knit designs work best with bold shapes and a limited color palette. Super fine details and photo-style images don't translate to yarn. Our designers will tell you what will knit cleanly and suggest tweaks if something won't.

Step 4: Approve, then we knit

Once you approve the mockup, your custom sock order goes into production. This is the longest part of the timeline, so it pays to plan ahead.

Most orders take 4 to 6 weeks from approval to delivery. If you have a hard deadline, like a conference, a holiday gift drop, or an onboarding date, tell us up front. We'll be honest about whether it's doable.

Do we offer a rush service for custom socks? You betcha! We can deliver in under 2 weeks if needed, but overnight shipping fees will apply.

What's the minimum order for custom socks in bulk?

Custom socks are knit to order, so there's a minimum to make a production run worthwhile. Our MOQ is 120 pairs per design and 25 pairs per size and color of the same design. Yes, this means you can order multiple colors of your custom socks.

The good news: bulk custom socks get more cost-effective as quantities go up. If you're on the fence between two quantities, ask us to quote both. We have price breaks at 350, 700, and 1,000 pairs for branded socks. North of that and we like to custom quote.

What drives the price of custom logo socks?

We don't publish a one-size-fits-all price, because every order is different. Here's what actually moves the number:

  • Quantity. The more pairs you order, the lower the cost per pair.
  • Sock style and length. Crew, quarter, and ankle socks use different amounts of yarn.
  • Material. Cotton, merino wool, and recycled blends are priced differently.
  • Extras. Things like grip bottoms or custom packaging add to the total.
  • Timeline. Rush orders cost more, but usually just the shipping is extra. Planning ahead for custom sock orders is the cheapest upgrade there is.

Tell us your budget and we'll build the order around it. That's often faster than going back and forth on specs.

Who orders custom socks wholesale?

Pretty much anyone who wants their brand on something people actually wear. Some of the most common:

  • Companies sending holiday gifts, onboarding kits, corporate sock giveaways, or team swag
  • Event organizers looking for conference and trade show giveaways that don't end up in the trash
  • Gyms, studios, and run clubs outfitting members and teams by ordering socks for resale or branded sock for giveaways
  • Retailers and brands selling their own branded socks
  • Promo product companies sourcing promotional items for their clients

Socks that do some good, too

Frequently asked questions

How long does a custom sock order take?

The clock starts once you approve your mockup. Typically, production takes 4-5 weeks. For event or holiday deadlines, reach out as early as you can.

Can I see my design before I order?

Yes. Every order gets a digital mockup, and you can request revisions before approving it.

What file format should my logo be?

Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF) are ideal. High-resolution PNGs also work.

Do custom knit socks fade in the wash?

No. Because the design is knit into the sock instead of printed on top, it won't crack, peel, or fade.

What's the minimum order for bulk custom socks?

Our minimum order for cotton socks is 120 pairs; for Merino wool, it's 180 pairs. Larger orders lower your cost per pair.

Do you make other custom knitwear?

Yes. Along with socks, we make custom beanies, scarves, sweaters, and blankets with your logo.

Ready to design yours?

Whether you need a few hundred pairs for a team retreat or thousands for a national event, we'll help you get custom socks in bulk that people actually want to wear.
