Custom Wedding Favors: Personalized Socks and Totes
Most couples find us about six weeks later than they meant to.
That is fine. Custom wedding socks are more forgiving than the internet suggests, as long as you know the three things that actually govern the project: the minimum, the timeline, and what moves the price.
Why socks and totes?
Wedding favors are a sure way to give some gratitude to your guest list for showing up and showing out on your big day. Custom wedding socks make it past midnight, then live in the socks drawer years after your wedding. Every time your guests reach for them, it is a reminder that they were there for one of the best days of your life. Plus, if you make the groomsman wear custom socks when they stand by your side, you'll avoid the awkward photo of your spouses weird friend who decided that flaming hot Cheetos socks were appropriate wedding attire.
Totes get carried all weekend and then to the grocery store for the next five years. Seriously, our American made custom totes are made to last. They're a constant reminder of the joy your guests experienced on your special day.
What is the minimum order?
120 pairs.
That is genuinely low for a domestic mill. Most quote you a thousand and hang up when you say wedding. If your guest list is 90 people, you are already there, and you will have spares for the people who ask.
You can split that 120 across two colorways as long as the design stays the same. Groomsmen in navy, bridesmaids in cream, one artwork file. Sizes split too, so you are not guessing.
Tote bags run separately with their own minimum (24), lower than the socks.
How long does it take?
Four to six weeks from approved artwork to boxes at your door.
Note where that clock starts. Not when you email us, but when you sign off on the final mockup. Design usually takes a few days if you know roughly what you want, longer if you are still deciding.
Rush service runs two to three weeks when the schedule allows. Ask early rather than hoping.
Can you really do it in three weeks?
Sometimes.
One couple came to us three weeks out from a Napa wedding with a mood board and no artwork. They got mockups in three days, two custom sock designs and a knit tote, and everything landed before the welcome party.
That is not the promise. That is the ceiling. Tell us your date in the first email and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.
What drives the cost?
Pricing is quote based, because a 120 pair order and a 600 pair order are different projects. Volume is the biggest lever, and the per pair number comes down as the count goes up.
The other things that move it:
- Material. Recycled cotton is the workhorse. Organic cotton and merino wool sit above it.
- Style. Ankle socks cost less than crew. Knee highs and dress socks cost more.
- Setup. A one time machine setup fee applies to a new design, and it is waived when you reorder the same one.
- Packaging. Custom belly bands are available and cost less than people expect.
- Shipping. One address or many. Individual shipping to guests is billed separately.
The first few mockups are free. We ask for a refundable deposit only if the design process runs long, and it credits back against your order.
What about the totes?
Totes are the sleeper hit.
Canvas and denim are the lower price options and they cover most weddings comfortably. Knit sits above them, more premium and more customizable, if you want the tote to read as part of the design rather than a bag with a logo on it.
Line art works beautifully on them. A drawing of the venue, your date, your initials. Couples tend to overthink this and then love the simplest version.

- A rough guest count
